A live electronic performer improvising with samplers and guitar effects to create evolving IDM, Techno, Electro, and experimental sets.
Polylux Systems is Gavin Bradshaw, an electronic and multi-instrumental music performer. Using a mix of programmed synths, samplers and drum machines that are manipulated on-the-fly and blended with live bass guitar, keys and vocals to deliver gritty futuristic electro and IDM.

Composition and Sound Design
I am a composer and sound designer with a deep interest in audio technology and sound synthesis. I’ve written for and performed in a lot of different ensembles including a percussion trio playing The Musical Stones of Skiddaw (antique lithophone) and in many jazz/pop/rock/funk combos as a session bassist and guitarist.
I’m largely using hardware samplers and synths mixed with live guitar for both performance and composition in an attempt to narrow the distance between what is written behind closed doors and what is performed on the stage.
I create patches for VCV Rack, Pure Data and Reaktor and I’m currently developing and tweaking a reactive performance visualiser patch in Pure Data. A lot of my VCV Rack patches can be downloaded from Patch Storage at: patchstorage.com/author/polyluxsystems/.
